THE WATER INDUSTRY

Water is a fundamental element for all living organisms and plays a crucial role in industrial and commercial pursuits. Access to adequate and healthy water resources is critical for public health and economic stability in the country and worldwide. The demand for potable and service water is rising due to global population growth and industrialization.

Atlantic Energy and Infrastructure engages in developing projects that encompass the entire spectrum of water supply, including treatment, desalination, storage, transmission, and distribution facilities. AEI's endeavors in this domain are to ensure a sustainable water supply for household, commercial, and industrial consumption. Leaving aside the issues surrounding climate change,  irresponsible utilization, and lack of or unsustainable water resource management practices are major factors that increase the risk of water scarcity.  To address these issues, AEI provides facilities that help with the effective management of water, including wastewater collection systems and the Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF). These facilities play a significant role in minimizing residential, commercial, and industrial water waste on a significant scale. Moreover, such facilities prevent water resource contamination and the resultant environmental and health issues, such as harm to farms, pastures, and natural resources.

AEI also undertakes developing desalination facilities to supplement the water supply. These facilities are particularly helpful in cities and countries located in arid regions where water scarcity is a pervasive problem.

AEI 's industrial water supply plants are intended to provide various types of service water, including distilled water (DI), deionized water (DI), demineralized water (DM water), and firewater, which are required for various industries and public services.

Hydrogen production is a water-intensive process that requires significant amounts of industrial water, such as demineralized and deionized water. AEI's water supply plants provide the industrial water necessary for hydrogen production plants, whether owned by it or other companies. These in-house strategies significantly help mitigate water supply risks and increase the profit margin of its hydrogen plants.
